Dantalian no Shoka Episode 2 – The Natural Born Killers

This dude will die xD He looks expendable xD

Huey and Dalian are requested by a woman to appraise her grandfather’s collection of books. What might have been just a tour of the countryside becomes a mystery for the duo to solve.

Minimal Spoilers Follow

What's with the contradicting hair. It just looks like Kazuya Kujo and Victorique switch their wigs

Huey and Dalian arrive at the woman’s house (sorry, forgot her name xD) and both quickly survey the mansion. There are servants yes. There is the caretaker/lover of the woman. Soon, Huey and Dalian learned that every person who wishes for the woman to leave the house were murdered. The first suspect was a curse book, but Dalian was quick to mention that there is no such thing as a curse book. A murder suddenly occurs and both Huey and Dalian manage to find the culprit – the woman herself.

Impression and Final Thoughts

Creepy xD

I hope the show will not turn into a phantom book of the week theme – with one appearing every episode. But that is not unlikely. It’s a good thing that while Huey is “reading” the book that is supposed to defeat the attacker, at least there is a shield that protects them from the attacks. I’ve got to admit that I’m hook with this series even though the basis for books defeating other books seems like the ones only found in literature and cannot be captured in a TV format. But Dantalian no Shoka is doing it well.

Huey and Dalian remind me of Kujo and Victorique. XD Victorique also resembles Alice (Pandora Hearts). I’m enjoying this series so far since they use different books as a reference of the story. ^^

I haven’t research it well but I have this feeling that the books featured in the series have a near-resemblance or close-counterparts to the real books in existence today and in the past.
