No. 6 Episode 4 Nezumi Found His Weakness
Shion and Nezumi are in a poor town outside No. 6 in search for a reporter with a connection to Shion’s mother. Plus Nezumi has become weak according to Inukashi. How so?
Spoilers and Impressions Follow
Along the way, they saw a pick-up girl, a dead person on the street and all sort of things Shion never saw in No. 6.
But they are in this town for a purpose. They are looking for a reporter who has some connection with Shion’s mother. This reporter once reports about some dubious activities in No. 6 but now living in luxury in exile while feeding prostitutes to some officials in No. 6. He tries to tell Nezumi to become one himself to which Shion ourageously objects. While leaving, Nezumi sees a photo and it looks like he recognizes someone in the picture.
A while later, Shion is helping Inukashi, the one with the dogs in the hotel in episode 3, in feeding and bathing her dogs. Nezumi comes and insults Inukashi’s mother.
Later that night, Inukashi attacks Nezumi in revenge to the insult. She points out that Nezumi has become weak ever since Shion comes to his life. It’s like saying Shion has become a burden to him. Nezumi could have killed Inukashi at one point but Shion comes looking for him, so the weird girl escapes with her dogs.
Then later in the episode, we see Shion’s mother receiving a message from Shion himself via Nezumi’s rat. The mother (Karan, by name) cries when she reads Shion’s message.
Hmm. This episode is much more toned down than the last 3 episodes. Nevertheless, we already see some growth in Nezumi’s character. It’s always like that in anime or even in the movies – A strong character suddenly becoming soft because of another character coming to his or her life (Think Teresa in Claymore.) When they become soft, they most often die. I hope that it won’t be the case for Nezumi.
But I am more in particular with Nezumi’s mother in this episode. When she broke down in tears… Ahh. This is actually my weak point, mother-son relatioship or father and son relationships. These are the themes which I am more fond of watching than teenage love-affair movies.
Episode 5 coming up!

I must admit that I loved this episode. >/////////< There are just so much shounen-ai undertones! haha!
(BL) Fangirling aside, let us hope they'll stay true to the novels. Can't wait for the next episodes!
Btw, I am quite unsure if I have missed your Sacred Seven weekly reviews. Are you still watching that series?
Haha! yes. There are a lot of shounen ai subtleties , which I always try to ignore xD. I wonder why I pick up this series anyway. Ah yes.. The Big Brother government xD .
I try to balance the episodes, like I will write about all episode 3 first before moving on to all episode 4 (and Dantalian no Shoka is still at episode 4).Since I am at episode 4 on all covered anime, I decide that Sacred Seven will be the last on the episode 4 list to be published. They are all on my drafts, it’s just that it will be last to be published) I’ll try to do something about it! ^_^ Thanks for the feedback ^_^ Greatly appreciated! ^_^
